November 14, 2009 - Important Security Updates

Well, this has been an important month for security updates. Firefox has updated to 3.5.5, and that version is now available in the Downloads section. Also, a host of updates for both Microsoft Windows and Office are available. These should also be installed, as soon as possible.
Also, I have upgraded to Windows 7, and have been using it for the past few weeks. I have to admit that I am more than a little impressed, with the performance, stability, and functionality. I was using Vista, and still notice an increase to all of these things. For those who upgrade from XP, there will be an even bigger and mroe obvious increase in all of these categories. I highly recommend Windows 7, and find it to be the best operating system available today. Many Linux distributions have updates in the works, such as Ubuntu and openSUSE, but Windows 7 stays at the top, for now. Mac OS X released a very large security patch, fixing over 50 vulnerabilities in the operating system, furthe rproving its vast array of security holes. Despite some claims, Windows 7 seems to perform much better than Snow Leopard does, and offers you all of the customizability of a PC, rather than being forced to use the hardware that Apple gives you. That's just my opinion.
